The Jenera Volunteer Fire Dept Association was founded on a simple conviction: that every community deserves reliable, courageous emergency responders who live just down the street. Our team is made up of local residents — teachers, farmers, tradespeople, and families — who train rigorously and stand ready to respond whenever the call comes in.
Based at 101 N Main St in Jenera, Ohio, we serve the village and surrounding rural areas with fire suppression, medical first response, hazardous material awareness, and community education programs. Our operations are sustained by the generosity of the community we protect.
From emergency response to prevention education, we cover the full spectrum of community protection.
Structural, vehicle, and wildland fire response with trained crews and modern apparatus deployed around the clock.
First-response medical assistance for cardiac events, injuries, and other emergencies while awaiting additional EMS units.
Building and fire code consultations, safety inspections for businesses, and proactive hazard assessments for residences.
Free fire safety workshops for schools, senior centers, and civic groups — including CPR training and home escape planning.
Vehicle extrication, confined space, and water rescue capability supported by specialized training and equipment.
Join our ranks. We welcome dedicated individuals to train and serve alongside experienced firefighters in our community.
We invest in the people and places we protect through education, outreach, and active participation in community life.
Regular visits to local schools for fire drills, equipment tours, and hands-on safety education for students of all ages.
Our yearly community event features live demonstrations, vehicle walkthroughs, and resources for household emergency preparedness.
Donations and volunteer sign-ups directly fund equipment upgrades, training programs, and station maintenance for the community.
Our apparatus and crew regularly participate in parades, memorial services, and civic celebrations throughout the region.
